Each Wednesday during the summer holidays, between 11.30am and 1pm, the castle gardens are open for FREE for families. Every child must be accompanied. There will be a pop up cafe so that you can buy refreshments. Please feel free to bring picnics to have in the park.
Access to look around the main castle is separate from the gardens and is charged at £5 for adults, £2.50 for children and under 3s go free!
You can park up at the castle and this is free for visitors.
Toilets are located in the castle gardens
For pushchairs there are inclines all around the castle and gardens. While we welcome all visitors, disabled visitors need to bear in mind that the Gwrych Castle Estate is a large property with great distances between various parts of the site. There is no public access at all to the main building due to its ruinous state. The terrain is often uneven, with many steep footpaths. Many of our pathways are unsuitable for wheelchair users and slopes can be tiring for a person assisting. Some self-drive three-wheeled vehicles, other pavement vehicles and powered wheelchairs may have difficulty on Gwrych Castle’s terrain. Sensible footwear is recommended at all times. Dress for All Weathers.
This is an outdoor venue. Children require Parental/Guardian Supervision At All Times. Build this into your planning folks if you are attending our Bored Games Event during the summer holidays. Refreshments of various kinds will be available in our pop-up cafe in the gardens.
