NOTICE: Our sincerest apologies, but due to safety concerns over structural issues at the Abergele Gate Lodge we have had to cancel opening it up to the public this time, though you may still view it from the outside as usual. Ty Crwn will be fully open as advertised.
To celebrate Cadw’s open doors, Gwrych Castle are hosting free access to two private properties on the Gwrych Castle Estate.
Ty Crwn is the historic bathing house of the Lloyds of Gwrych, and was used by the Countess of Dundonald. Abergele Gate Lodge is the impressive principal entrance into the castle’s park. Neither of these buildings are usually open for public access.
A pop-up tea shop will be at Ty Crwn.
